The genius, science, and secrets of biohacking with algae

“How many people take either spirulina or chlorella regularly now?  And how many had heard about spirulina or chlorella before today or yesterday? It's so well known in Asia and used virtually every day by people in Japan and it's been sold in America for 50 years but no one has ever explained what it is or why it works so that's what I'm hoping to do today but I have packed 12 years of research into 45 minutes.

“Algae is not a supplement, it's a dried vegetable. It's a type of vegetable. Not quite a vegetable but it's in that category and it's been as I say well used.  What is algae? Its own food category there's macroalgae and microalgae. We're going to talk about microalgae but let me tell you what macroalgae is. First, things like seaweed stuff that washes up on shore high in fiber and iodine because it comes from the ocean.  We're talking about microalgae because it is microscopic, something like a million of these cells would fit on the head of a pin so you can't even see it, but it's everywhere. In this, the ocean, the lakes, the streams, the soils but we're talking about today are the two that are grown and harvested as food crops spirulina and chlorella.”

“Spirulina is one form of blue-green algae. There are tens of thousands of blue-green algae so when you go on the Internet and you read about some toxic bloom of blue-green algae it's not spirulina. Spirulina is harvested as a crop. It's just some other form of blue-green algae. Algae only show up when toxins and bacteria have already shown up. Algae is the cleanup crew they only show up and, you probably don't know this, but algae are used in every single water treatment plant in the country, probably in the world. Because it kills bacteria so when you see algae in the ocean it's only there to help clean up the mess of the run the toxics. “

“Spirulina, blue-green algae, is known for being energizing; it energizes your body and your mind.  Spirulina has the highest protein in the world (3 x steak), high antioxidants, Omega-3, forty vitamins and minerals that work synergistically to improve hunger, energy, focus, skin/ hair health, sports, and nutrition. - Stops the development of “abnormal” cells and prevents breakage of DNA strands to promote and improve cellular repair.

Chlorella Algae

Algae has the highest protein in the world and has 3 x more protein than steak or fish. The protein in algae is made of single amino acids which can be easily and readily absorbed. This contrasts with animal protein which can take up to 3 days to be absorbed or collagen protein which is in the form of peptides (groups of aminos). Algae is a complete protein with 18 of the 20 aminos including all 9 essential aminos your body can’t make. Algae protein is sustainable and eco-friendly so it protects the environment (land, ocean, lake, air) while it protects your health.

The only source of protein that provides your skin and body with all individual amino acids is Algae. They're vital for functions such as protein synthesis, tissue repair, synthesis of hormones/neurotransmitters, and nutrient absorption.
